Programming with Objects

In this course, we explored structured, object-oriented, and functional programming concepts. We applied these principles by developing a stock data program that imported .csv data from Yahoo Finance and featured a reactive GUI report. This hands-on project allowed us to integrate and practice various programming paradigms effectively.

We covered a wide range of topics, from basic variables to more advanced concepts like creating graphs and charts from imported .csv files. This hands-on approach allowed us to effectively apply Python’s capabilities in data visualization and analysis.

Emphasizing hands-on learning, the course utilizes virtual lab environments to provide practical experience with specialized tools and programs. These labs are challenging and simulate real-world scenarios, allowing students to apply theoretical knowledge and develop essential skills for a career in cybersecurity.

This course offers a comprehensive skill-building platform focused on infrastructure security implementation and techniques. Key topics covered include Threat Intelligence, detecting security vulnerabilities, Cloud Security, security data analysis, incident response, risk management, and IT regulatory compliance. To solidify our understanding and practical application of these concepts, we utilized virtual lab environments equipped with a diverse selection of specialized tools and programs. These hands-on labs provided invaluable experience in applying theoretical knowledge to real-world scenarios, enhancing our proficiency in various aspects of cybersecurity.

Fundamentals of information system security

This course provided a comprehensive overview of key security principles, including the CIA triad (Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability), and their practical applications. We explored various aspects of information system security through hands-on projects. These included performing file encryption services to ensure data confidentiality, using network mapping tools like NMAP to detect vulnerabilities, and setting up multifactor authentication using Ubuntu and Google Authenticator to enhance security. The course effectively combined theoretical knowledge with practical skills, preparing us to address real-world security challenges.

Network Security Testing w/Lab

This course was a great introduction to the Python programming language with the use of the Anaconda/spyder IDE. We covered everything from basic variables to creating graphs and charts
